You are taking interest in this master’s program? To be successfully admitted, you must meet the following qualification profile:

  • an internationally recognised domestic or foreign academic degree from a university (at least equivalent to a bachelor’s degree) or
  • an equivalent qualification1 to be determined by the programme manager based on
    • a university entrance qualification and at least five years’ professional experience or
    • completion of an expert program/diploma program (e.g. university program, program for further education at a university of applied sciences or program of university character) to the extent of at least 60 ECTS and at least three years of professional experience or
    • completion of a standardised written entrance examination, at least five years of professional experience and a minimum age of 21 years

You determine the pace of your studies. The minimum duration of study is 3 semesters (approximately 18 months).

The program consists of three levels in which a total of 15 modules must be completed. The modules are worth 4 or 2 ECTS. The master’s thesis (14 ECTS) concludes the program.

You conclude the modules with the elaboration of a module task. An exception to this is the legal module, which concludes with an online examination. The fourteen elaborations comprise between seven and fifteen pages. Only the communication concept is a somewhat longer task. You can edit all content whenever and wherever you want. In the design and master’s thesis modules, you have three online seminar appointments each. Also, here you can choose the date and participate from wherever you want. The only thing you need is stable internet access.

In order to complete succesfully a master's thesis – a scientific thesis worth 14 ECTS (which corresponds to 14*25 working hours) is required.

The completion of a master’s thesis serves as a proof of the student’s ability to work independently on a topic of their own choice while using scientific methods. The master’s thesis can be written within the framework of the student’s entrepreneurial activity, thus making the process of finding a topic and collecting data a lot easier in most cases.

Students writing on the master’s thesis are provided with an academic supervisor. Students may complete their thesis within a six-months period starting from the date of the concept’s approval.

Students must submit their master’s thesis electronically and a there will be a plagiarism check. The master's thesis is assessed by the supervisor and the program director as second supervisor.

The University of Applied Sciences (UAS) Burgenland awards successful graduates the academic degree 'Master of Arts in Marketing Communication' (abbreviated to 'MA' or 'M.A.').

The master's program MA Marketing Communication in the specialization Cross-media Marketing Communication Internationa is a program for academic education in accordance with § 9 FHG (Federal Act on University of Applied Sciences Studies Act) as amended. The academic title 'Master of Arts in Marketing Communication' (abbreviated to 'MA' or 'M.A.') awarded according to Austrian law by the UAS Burgenland, is internationally recognized and can be used in all official documents.

The program fee is 8,900,-1 euros (plus ÖH fee) and covers 24 months (four semesters) of study. For each additional semester there are additional costs of 290,- euros.
